The worst air disaster in Wisconsin history occurred just a few hundred feet off the runway of Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport. Midwest Express Flight 105 was heading for Atlanta. Shortly after its 3:15 pm takeoff, cracks in the right engine lead to a failure just a few hundred feet off the runway. The plane technically could've flown on just one engine, but on this particular Friday a pilot error lead to a barrel roll, nosedive, and the loss of 31 human lives.
Ted Warshafsky, the founder and visionary behind the Warshafsky Firm (who’d previously won 3 other cases involving air crashes in Wisconsin) represented some of the bereaved in their recovery of maximum judgments against the responsible defendants.
